Duel Rules
Players meet at GameSpy and commit that they are playing for the
tournament before they start a game. They can avoid announcing the race of
the deck before the fight, although they can't further change the race
chosen in the first round. Players must agree on the resource level to play
at. If there is a difference of opinion, players should respect the opinion
of the player desiring the higher resource level.
1 Duel played in 3 rounds on the random arena.
1.1 Players should make 0th round where each one should
set 1 enchantment and each should then remove 1 enchantment from enemy
using only amulet of purification. It is included for fighting against
view-hand cheat-code. Players should play with ANY deck, which has any
enchantment and amulet of purification. Players can change deck and
race for the first round.
1.2 After the first round the loser is allowed to change his deck,
second player should play with old deck. After the
second round both players can change decks. Players cannot change the race
during a duel. In different duels players can play with different
races. Player has not more than 15-20 seconds to change the deck.
Increasing of that time or postponing (putting off) of the duel is
possible only with agreement of both players.
1.2.1 Players are obligated to complete the entire match after beginning.
Leaving a match incomplete will result in forfeit.
1.2.2 If a disconnect occurs the disconnecting party must immediately
return to the GameSpy lobby to resume the match. They should replay
round. First movement has player, who had it in the unfinished round.
In case of second disconnect by one player (in the whole game), he has
a "technical defeat" in one round. About that cases players should
inform judge.
1.2.3 If player took the "wrong deck" - he can't change it. He should
play with deck, which he chose before. Except:
1) case, when player-winner in first round took another deck in second. If
so - duel must be stopped and the winner should take another deck. First
movement is saved by the player who had it in the first starting of second
round. If the player-winner say again, that he took the wrong deck - duel
ends and he receives technical defeat (2:0).
2) case, when player change his race. So if player chose Kinets, but
in first round he played Sythets, duel must be stopped and the player
should choose another race, which he chose in first duel round.
1.3 For winning a round a player gets one point (duel, not rating), if
draw - 0,5 point, if defeated - 0 points.
1.4 Draw - situation, when both player die at the same time.
1.5 Winner of duel is the player who receives more duel-points. If points
are the same (1,5-1,5), the fight ends in a draw. In that case players
should continue duel until one player wins one round.
2. The duel report should be sent to the e-mail tournament@etherlords.com
by both(!) players, who played the duel.
Letter with report about duel should be consist of:
Nickname of player:
Password: (from the group
stage)

Rules of tournament group games
Attention! Game version 1.03 is the only version officially acceptable at
the tournament. Other game versions are not allowed.
At the end of the first tour 32 best players are selected and divided into
4 groups by drawing. The drawing will be held by the tournament coordinator
Commando.
Every player passes on to the second round after receiving a letter from the
Council of Judges. The letter will contain the following information:
Rules of 2nd tour, link to the page containing contact information of
players of the 2nd tour, and individual player's password.
A player should check his personal contact info and confirm that he has
received the letter from the Council and that he agrees to continue the
tournament by sending an e-mail to his group judge.
The tour will then follow the round robin in each group. One player can
play only one duel with one and the same opponent. Points: winner - 2,
loser - 0, draw - 1 point to each player.
In case of impossibility of playing all duels in time some
players can be disqualified. All other players get a technical
draw (1 point to each player) for all duels that have not been played to the
end of the tour.
2 best players from each group pass on to the final tour.
Duel Rules
Players meet at GameSpy and agree that they are going to play a
tournament duel before they start a game. They can avoid disclosing the race
of the deck before the fight, although they can't further change the race
chosen in the first round. Players must agree on the resource level to play
at. If there is a difference of opinion, players should respect the opinion
of the player desiring the higher resource level.
1 A duel is played in 3 rounds on a random arena.
1.1 The players are obliged to play a "zero" round where each one should
cast 1 enchantment and then remove the enchantment from the enemy
using only the amulet of purification. This feature is meant for protection
against the view-hand cheat-code. Players can choose ANY deck, which has any
enchantment and the amulet of purification. Players can change decks and
races for the first round.
1.2 After the first round is over the loser is allowed to change his deck,
while the winner should play with his old deck. After the
second round both players can change decks. Players cannot change races
during a duel. In different duels players can play with different
races. Players have no more than 15-20 seconds to change decks.
Increasing of the time span or postponing the duel is
possible only if both players agree on that.
1.2.1 Players are obliged to complete the entire match after they start
playing. If a match has been left incomplete its results will be nullified.
1.2.2 If a disconnect occurs the disconnecting party must immediately
return to the GameSpy lobby to resume the match and accept the loss of 1
round. A disconnecting player should not insist on replaying the round if
the opponent is against it. If the battle situation was unclear at the
moment when the disconnect occurred, the round should be replayed.
1.2.3 A mistake made while choosing a deck is a problem of a chooser.
Changing a deck chosen incorrectly is possible only in case of a subsequent
conflict with the duel format: a wrongly chosen race in the 2nd and 3rd
round, or if the winner of the 1st round changed deck in the 2nd one. In
these cases the player who made a mistake should announce his mistake on the
2nd move at the latest, otherwise he will be judged a technical defeat in
the round. After the correct deck is chosen, the mistaken players' opponent
is granted the right of the first move as a compensation.
In all other cases when choosing a wrong deck does not lead to a conflict
with the duel format, changing a deck is prohibited.
1.3 For winning a round a player gets one point (duel, not rating), if
draw - 0,5 point, if defeated - 0 points.
1.4 A draw is a situation when both player die at the same time.
1.5 A player receiving the largest number of duel-points is considered to be
the winner. If both players receive the same number of duel points
(1,5-1,5), the fight ends in a draw.
2. The duel report should be sent by e-mail to the group
judge by both(!) players who played the duel.
The letter with the report about the duel should contain:
Nickname of player: Password:
Opponent:
Points::
Date and time of duel: dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm
